Based on my personal observation and experience as a teacher, the following are the reasons why you should consider to send your children to private schools next year.

My child is unable to follow any structured routines preset for him/ her

They are people in this world who just can’t follow routine, but having said that, they are neither law breakers or bad. Instead, some of them requires more flexibility in their learning that may be found limited in the government schools.

My child needs special attention

We have to accept the fact that although the government had provided special-need schools, they are most of the time, far from home. Let alone to say that these schools are not many around the country. Hence, a special-need private school is the option left for many parents trying to give the best education their children can have.

My child is a genius. A school system turns him into a boring child

Some parents pay a great amount of attention to their children that they had seen their children’s progress a lot even at young age. Usually, parents like this prefer to have better control with their children’s education path. With private schools giving out some shares to parents to administer, going to one will definitely be their choice.

My child needs a short cut

Nobody says a good education foundation must go through attending schools for ages. Some young talents only need the essentials as they embark with their talents. Therefore, this also contributes to the seven  reasons why you should consider sending your children to a private school next year.

My child studies abroad

A common reason for those looking for private schools. They have to find the one with closest level of similarity between the child’s previous school to the one they are about to join.

Subjects are more up-to-date in the private school

Some schools have began to introduce coding as a school subject. Although government schools and universities are catching up, we cannot deny that it is always good to start anything young.

Some subjects are not well-emphasised in the government schools

By using the word private schools, we must not forget that those mushrooming tahfiz and Quranic centers also fall into this category. And why do parents choose this kind of private schools? Simply because, despite being a Muslim country, government schools do not put Islamic Studies as a core subject. It is not a subject that are required to pass in order for you to move from UPSR phase into secondary level, nor they are compulsory subjects for Muslim children to pass in their SPM. So, knowing that it is not a compulsory-to-pass subject, many parents choose to send their children to the private schools that offer various approaches towards Islamic Studies.
