Today I’m bringing you one of my favourite topics : 5 Common Mistakes Most Tuition Center Operators in Malaysia Are Sharing. Please do not take my title to be your masters or Ph.D topic, but further discussion is much welcomed.
Last week, a friend of mine called and asked if I had made a comeback into tuition center business. It was in deed a very interesting question to answer. It thrills me when people begin to associate me with my previous success, alhamdulillah.
The answer was: NO!
Instead, I had made better things. I am now providing people with the consultation they need. The past 5 years I had received numerous requests for assistance & guidance in operating tuition centers. I had always been happy to share & help as it’s my cuppa tea.
For that reasons; here are 5 basic issues found among new & existing tuition center owners:
1) TOO DEPENDENT
This happens mostly among those who opt for franchise system. They are not dependent because they are under a licensed franchisor, but are dependent because they have a mindset that they have paid to be successful in the business.

No one can guarantee you success. In fact, you too should not buy the idea that you can be successful if you join a readily successful brand. Success is the outcome of your action. Make sure you know what you do in order to succeed. Waiting everything to be told by your franchisor will not only make you waste time, but stand you a chance to running at a lost. Be careful because money and time are two precious things in business. They can usually lose to one another, but to lost both is unwise.
2) NOT BUSINESS ORIENTED
Speaking of wasting time and waiting to be told, these two qualities should not be worn by business people. So if you run a business and dare to let time pass you by, be very cautious that you may not make the cut to join the boat. 3) HOPING FOR MIRACLE TO HAPPEN ON THEIR BUSINESS AT STAKE
It is scary to stand as a leader when you know behind closed door that your business is at stake. Worse things may crawl when you begin to hope instead of taking action. Miracle won’t work without the witch moving her wand. You’re the witch of your business. The wand is your tools. Make things work so miracle happens. Don’t keep the wand dusty, people.
4) NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO NEXT
You’re not alone. And that’s business sometimes. The key is to be constantly seeking for knowledge by asking people who are doing better than you in the same industry. Learn from them. Be not afraid of making moves otherwise you won’t know what works and what don’t to your business.
5) NOT KNOWING WHERE TO START WHEN THEIR BUSINESS NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
